Governors State University is a public university in University Park, Illinois. The 750 acres campus is located 30 miles south of Chicago, Illinois. GSU was founded in 1969. It is a public university offering degree programs at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels.

Delivery Format

Achieve your master’s degree in as little as 18 months. Governors State’s 33-credit hour Computer Science M.S. is offered fully on-campus or in a hybrid format. Enroll full-time to jumpstart your career or part-time for added flexibility.

- Proof of English proficiency

- TOEFL (80 - minimum sub-scores of 20 in each section)

- IELTS (6.0)

- Duolingo (95)

- PTE (53 - minimum sub-scores of 53 in each section)

-GRE/GMAT is optional for most programs.

-GMAT is strongly recommended for MS Business Analytics applicants

GMAT/GRE and other test scores (when applicable): The school code for GMAT/GRE scores is 1263.

However, the following programs have admission deadlines or limited admission periods: Communication, Media, and Performance; Communication Disorders; Counseling; Health Administration; Nursing; Occupational Therapy; Political and Justice Studies; Psychology; School Psychology; and Social Work. Refer to the specific major sections in this catalog for criteria and deadlines.
