Master of Business Administration

The MBA degree prepares students for executive and managerial positions in both the private and public sectors.  Emphasis is placed on the development of critical knowledge across a variety of business disciplines and problem-solving and decision-making abilities.  The degree includes broad preparation in business administration while allowing for a concentration in a specific business discipline or related disciplines.

Students may select a concentration consisting of three related courses designed from curricula housed in the Heller College of Business and the College of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences..  Multiple concentrations may also be pursued (this will require an increased number of credit hours- speak to a graduate adviser for details).

Within the Heller College of Business, students may choose a concentration from the following areas: accounting, accounting forensics, finance, hospitality and tourism management, human resource management, information systems, international business, management, marketing, real estate, and social entrepreneurship.

Students' second option is to choose a concentration from another graduate program within the university. These options and variations open a variety of career paths to MBA graduates. These concentrations include, but are not limited to: economics, health services administration, industrial/organizational psychology, integrated marketing communications, and training and development.

FINANCIAL AND IMMIGRATION INFORMATION

International students who wish to study as an F-1 Student must submit the following additional documents in order to receive a Form I-20:

  • A photocopy of their passport information page
  • Evidence of funds to cover the first year’s tuition, fees, housing and living expenses (books, supplies, insurance, personal items) in the form of bank statements or a letter from the bank
  • Affidavit of Support form (if the finances you will be using belong to a parent or other relative)
  • A $500 non-refundable deposit. This deposit will be applied directly to your tuition upon enrollment.

Up-to-date tuition and fee information can be found on our website. All other living expenses (housing, books, supplies, insurance, personal items) are estimated at $17,000 per year. If the student will have a financial sponsor, the student's sponsor should complete the Affidavit of Support and submit it with an official bank statement.

If you have received a scholarship, you may use this to show part of your funding. To learn more about Roosevelt scholarship opportunities, please visit our scholarship page.

Students will not receive their I-20 until they have paid their $500 non-refundable deposit. Students should expect to receive their I-20 digitally within one week after they submit all required documents and pay their non-refundable deposit.

Do I have to submit my bank statements with my application?

We encourage you to submit all documents when you apply. However, we will review you application without your financial and immigration documents. These documents are required to issue your Form I-20 if you are admitted; they are not required to make an admission decision.

I'm not an F-1 student, do I need to submit financial and immigration documents?

All international students should show proof of their current status in the U.S. We use this information to show why you did not need F-1 student status. If you are in the U.S. in a different immigration status, you are not required to show funding. If you want to change your status, you must show funding.
