Rowan University is a public research university in Glassboro, New Jersey, with a medical campus in Stratford and medical and academic campuses in Camden.

The Master of Science in Cybersecurity will prepare students with the knowledge and skills needed to understand key issues along with present and emerging cyber threats to information systems, develop graduates with a sufficiently broad and strong technical foundation to understand and analyze cybersecurity vulnerabilities and protections, and prepare students for specialized cybersecurity careers.

The M.S. in Cybersecurity is a full-time or part-time program offered at our Glassboro, NJ campus. It requires the completion of 30 graduate semester hours (10 courses). All students must complete 6 credits of foundation courses (2 courses) and 9 credits of core courses (3 courses). Students may complete this degree within 1 ½ to 2 years of study.

Rowan students enrolled in the Combined Advanced Degree Program between our B.A. in Computing and Informatics and our M.S. in Cybersecurity programs can complete two graduate cyber security courses in each of their last two semesters as an undergraduate student. These courses will count towards the B.A. in Computing and Informatics as well as the M.S. in Cybersecurity. Further, the M.S. in Cybersecurity has developed a pathway for students completing the 3+1 B.A. in Computing and Informatics program through our community college partners at Rowan College of South Jersey and Rowan College at Burlington County where students will spend three years as a county college student, one year as a Rowan undergraduate student completing their B.A. in Computing and Informatics, and a final year as a Rowan graduate student completing their M.S. in Cybersecurity.

The following courses make up the M.S. in Cybersecurity program.

  • 10 Courses / 30 Semester Hours
  • Foundation Courses: No
  • Graduation / Exit / Thesis Requirements: No
