Accounting involves systematic processes necessary in every industry. Bookkeepers may assist with entering basic financial transactions, but accountants manage more advanced responsibilities. As professional service providers, accountants track income, expenses, assets and liabilities to produce accurate financial statements, reports and records. They help both individuals and businesses to navigate their finances by assisting with creating budgets, analyzing financial records and reporting income taxes. The Master of Science in Accounting program prepares you for these responsibilities with advanced training in accounting best practices. Select electives tailored to your interests in business, finance, health care and marketing.
