Hofstra University is a private university in Hempstead, New York. Hofstra originated in 1935 as an extension of New York University under the name Nassau College – Hofstra Memorial of New York University.[6] It became independent Hofstra College in 1939[7] and gained university status in 1963. Comprising ten schools, including the Zucker School of Medicine and the Maurice A. Deane School of Law, Hofstra has hosted a series of prominent presidential conferences and several United States presidential debates.[8]

Offered jointly by the Fred DeMatteis School of Engineering and Applied Science and the Frank G. Zarb School of Business, Hofstra University's graduate programs in Cybersecurity prepare students with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed in technology, management, and policy. Our MBA and MS programs provide the theoretical foundation and practical experiences that address cybersecurity from many perspectives such as data, software, systems, organizational and societal security, and privacy. Gain valuable hands-on experience through paid positions offered as part of our co-op program and study in state-of-the-art on-campus facilities, such as the Cybersecurity Innovation and Research Center. Scholarships are available for qualified candidates. Please note, the GRE is not required for admission.
