At the graduate studies level, there are two levels of proficiency in English for master’s and PhD programs: Regular Admission and Dual Admission (Admission with English Deficiency). UWM accepts as evidence of English proficiency TOEFL IBT, IELTS, and Cambridge English: Advanced and Cambridge English: Proficiency.  All tests cover the same skills and applicants may submit results from whichever test they choose to take

. Applications will not be reviewed until all required materials are obtained by the program. All completed applications received prior to Feb. 1 will receive consideration for enrollment beginning the following summer term for the Non-Thesis Track or fall semester for the Thesis Track. Completed applications received after Feb. 1 may be considered if space is available in the program. Students may enroll on a full-time or a part-time basis.
