Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
The civil engineering degree program is an EAC-accredited (ABET) curriculum that integrates the core Rockhurst values with a robust exposure to a variety of civil engineering specialties, which enables graduates to become licensed Professional Engineers.
The combination of the strong Jesuit education at Rockhurst University coupled with the strong technical engineering instruction at the University of Missouri-Kansas City produces alumni/ae who are well-placed in the engineering economy, who are becoming professionally licensed as engineers, and who are poised to be able leaders in their organizations.
What is civil engineering?
Simply described, a civil engineering degree specializes in the environment that has been built around us. This field of study, however, is far from simple. From the construction of roads, buildings, bridges, or water supply systems, to managing a construction site, to analyzing research, civil engineers are responsible for the very foundation of the society we know.
