Master of Accountancy

Accountancy, MAcc: Accounting Analytics Specialization, STEM

The MAcc curriculum is continually updated by our Accounting Department Partnership Council (ADPC) to meet current standards. You can choose between specializations in Accounting Analytics or Forensic Accounting — or choose the customizable General option by selecting five electives that best fit your professional goals.

Students with a non-accounting bachelor’s degree are encouraged to apply for the MAcc program through the MAcc Bridge option. The accounting bridge prerequisite courses are available to provide the core accounting knowledge you need to be successful in the MAcc program.

The Master of Accountancy program at The University of Scranton consists of 30 credit hours and costs $895 per credit hour.

Degree and Minimum GPA: Bachelor's degree, minimum 3.0 GPA

Transcripts: Official transcripts from all schools attended are necessary to apply

Additional Requirements:

  • Two letters of recommendation from academic or professional references.
  • Submit proof of English proficiency - TOFEL 80 ; IELTS 6.5 ; Duolingo 105
  • Personal Statement.
  • Professional Résumé.
  • Official GMAT/GRE Score - N/A

Students without business knowledge in statistics, management science, and information systems may need to take extra foundational courses (i.e., the foundation modules MBA 501A, MBA 501B and MBA 501C).

Counseling programs applicants have a preferred application deadline of Nov. 15 and a standard deadline of March 1.

The following programs only accept applications to begin in the fall term:

  • Master of Health Administration
  • Master of Science in Biochemistry, Chemistry and Clinical Chemistry
  • Master of Science in Software Engineering
  • Doctor of Business Administration

Document Submission: All documents can be uploaded to the university application portal. Documents can be uploaded both before the application is submitted and after application submission by logging back into the university application portal. The financial documents are required to issue an admission decision.
