Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Physics

The BS Biomedical Physics program seeks to prepare students to understand the role of physical processes occurring on molecular, cellular, or macroscopic scales; in vital biological functions, ranging from the interaction of chemicals with DNA, to the extraction of oxygen from red blood cells, to the generation of complex electrical signals in the brain and nervous system; and physical principles of medical devices. Students following PreMed and PreHealth Advising guidance can use the elective areas of the program's plan of study to complete such courses.

Once your application is submitted, received, and processed, you will be able to access your Application Status Check. If you are required to provide further information regarding your proficiency in English, you will be able to complete the requirement in several ways, depending on your familiarity with English, and the frequency with which you use English each and every day:

  • Most non-native English-speaking applicants will be required to submit official results from a valid English Language Test. Northeastern will accept the following:

  • However, based on your academic environment and the primary instructional language in either your high school or university, you may be eligible for a waiver. All waivers must be submitted through your Application Status Check. For additional information and to determine whether you are eligible for a waiver, please read the section below on waiving the English proficiency requirement.

Please note: Northeastern’s Admissions Committee reserves the right to request proof of English language proficiency from any applicant, regardless of citizenship or first language, at any time during the evaluation process.

English Language Testing

Northeastern will consider your official results (sent directly from the testing agency or exam board to Northeastern) from any valid test (i.e. no more than 2 years old from the test date) for one of the approved English Language Tests indicated on this page.

Northeastern does not have minimum score requirements. Instead, we publish the middle 50% range for admitted students, which means 25% of the admitted students received a higher score, and 25% of the admitted students received a lower score.

Please note: the scores provided are not cut-off scores, but for estimating purposes, and in no way represent a promise or guarantee of admission.

Familiarize yourself with the timeline for each application type so you never miss a beat.

  • If Northeastern is your number one college choice, and you are committed to attending if admitted, Early Decision is the admissions program that is right for you. Early Decision is ideal for students who are confident that we are the right fit—academically, socially, and financially. Early Decision (ED) applicants will be bound to their top preference if admitted into that program. This policy is true for any of our five first-year enrollment opportunities and if students select open to all opportunities. ED applicants will not be bound to an enrollment program if admitted into a program that was not their first-choice preference—a non-binding decision would be issued. All applicants are asked for their program preferences in the institution specific section of the application. Additional information regarding our enrollment opportunities may be found herePlease note, if you receive a binding admission, you are committed to attending and required to withdraw all applications from other institutions.

You will have two opportunities to apply for Early Decision consideration: by November 1 for Early Decision I or by January 1 for Early Decision II. Early Decision II allows students who realize that Northeastern is their first choice later in the application process to show their high level of interest still.

Early Decision I Application Deadline: November 1
Early Decision I Decision Notification: By January 1

Early Decision II Application Deadline: January 1
Early Decision II Decision Notification: By March 1

Please send the student details and documents to admissions@indoglobalstudies.org. IGS team will submit the application.
For every application, we need university online application username and password information.
