Northern Arizona University is a public research university based in Flagstaff, Arizona. Founded in 1899, it was the final university established in the Arizona Territory. NAU is one of the three universities governed by the Arizona Board of Regents and accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

Bachelor of Business Administration

The purpose of the Northern Arizona University Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Program is to provide excellent business management and related higher education using the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award standards for education as applied through the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) accreditation. We seek to be a premier provider of Baldrige-Quality business management and related higher education with an emphasis on value and accessibility. We focus on core business competencies within a global context.

The global context for the core competencies will be addressed in all relevant classes across the curriculum. We provide online and hybrid classes for learning through the application of technology, as well as opportunities to study as part-time students. We provide opportunities for students to apply leadership skills through Phi Beta Lambda, as well as competitive challenges involving other business programs in Arizona and nationally. We collaborate with other universities globally and within the region to provide direct international experience.

Emphasis areas such as Human Resource Management (HRM), Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM), Management, Marketing, and Project Management provide students to garner the skills specific to a business administration area.

Our faculty is selected for their scholarly and business management experience. We contribute to the body of knowledge primarily through engaged scholarship, including research, publications, and scholarly professional activities regarding teaching, discovery, integration, and application.

Human Resource Management Emphasis
The Human Resource Management emphasis will prepare students for careers in HRM. Students interested in a deep exploration of human resources will learn how to design effective HRM strategies, develop staffing and learning strategies, and acquire knowledge in compensation management and employment law including ethical practices in HRM.

Logistics and Supply Chain Management Emphasis
The Logistics and Supply Chain Management Emphasis will prepare students for careers in LSCM. Students interested in a deep exploration of logistics will design effective logistics and supply chain strategies, apply technologies to facilitate logistics activities, describe potential ethical, legal, and environmental impacts of logistics and supply chain activities on local and global communities, and develop mitigation plans.

Management Emphasis
The Management emphasis will prepare students for careers in business management. Students interested in a deep exploration of management will learn how to develop critical thinking and interpersonal skills essential to employment in management roles. Students will learn how to design strategic plans in both local and global environments with an understanding of competing ethical frameworks and their business implications.

Marketing Emphasis
The Marketing emphasis will prepare students for careers in marketing. Students interested in a deep exploration of marketing will learn how to apply product, pricing, promotion, and distribution strategies, design competitive marketing strategies, and apply marketing research. Students will explore topics that apply an ethical understanding to marketing situations.

Project Management Emphasis
The Project Management emphasis will prepare students for careers in project management. Students interested in a deep exploration of project management will learn how to effectively manage and execute projects on time, on budget, and within scope to support overall business objectives. Students will describe the potential ethical and legal impacts of logistics, project management, and supply chain activities on local and global communities and use electronic technology to facilitate project management activities.

  • Develop an effective Organizational Learning Strategy aligned with the strategy of the firm.
  • Design and apply a strategic compensation management system aligned with the company's organizational goals and strategic management.

Marketing Emphasis

Logistics and Supply Chain Management Emphasis

  • We require a minimum 2.5 grade-point average (GPA) for first-year and transfer students.
  • Transfer students who have earned 24 or more credits at an American post-secondary institution only need to submit that transcript as part of their application. A high school transcript is not required.

NAU accepts transcript evaluations from members of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) as part of the evaluation process. However, the result of a transcript evaluation does not guarantee that transfer credits will be awarded. All transcripts from post-secondary institutions in Nigeria must be evaluated from members of the NACES services.

If you don’t meet one of these requirements, please consider joining our Program in Intensive English to receive conditional admission to NAU and be fully admitted upon completion of the program. To participate, all you need is a Duolingo score of 55, IELTS 4, PTE 20, or TOEFL 20.

Provide proof of financial support via bank statements and complete the financial guarantee form for the total amount of estimated tuition and fees for bachelor’s degree students for the academic year (summer not included). This document is required to issue your SEVIS form I-20 (needed in order to apply for your student visa).

If you bring dependents with you, please submit the financial guarantee with dependents form and provide an extra USD $6,000 per dependent.
