Bachelor of Science in Business and Engineering
The Bachelor of Science in Business and Engineering degree is an innovative cross-disciplinary program that prepares students for a wide range of careers at the intersection of business and technology.
The disciplines of business and engineering create enormous synergies because technologies are applied to industries. To develop and deploy technologies effectively, students must develop skills in creative thinking (product development), problem solving (business cases), and effective communication (business pitch), as well as a solid understanding of business/management functions and an interdisciplinary approach.
This STEM-oriented program draws on curricula from Stuart School of Business and Armour College of Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology to provide students with a disciplinary core in both business and engineering. The program brings together world-class business and engineering faculty, offering an incredible opportunity to be exposed to subject matter experts from both disciplines.
Your studies will include courses in engineering, management, science, and mathematics, as well as training in functional business areas such as economics, finance, marketing, optimization, entrepreneurship, project management, operations, and leadership.
Through Illinois Tech’s one-of-a-kind Elevate program, you are guaranteed access to hands-on experiences—such as internships, group projects, and research—where you connect your classroom learning with real-world practice. You also receive mentoring to guide your academic studies and to prepare you to land a great job when you graduate.
