The MS in clinical mental health counseling is suited for those looking to work in mental health agencies, college counseling centers, and substance abuse and eating disorder treatment centers.  

Clinical mental health counselors provide services to clients who seek help with everyday life concerns as well as those who struggle with significant emotional, cognitive, and behavioral challenges.

60 TOTAL CREDITS REQUIRED

The Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program is a 60-credit curriculum that leads to the Master of Science degree and fulfills all the educational requirements for licensure as a professional counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. The curriculum is divided into four categories: Foundations of Professional Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling Courses, Clinical Experience, and Electives for Specialization.

Required credits include coursework in the principles and practice of counseling, three credits of practicum (100 hours of supervised counseling experience), and six credits of internship (600 hours of supervised counseling experience). Six credits of electives are offered to provide students with opportunities for additional study in individual areas of interest and for development of skills in working with specific client populations.

Tuition & Fees (60 credit hours )

The tuition for an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling  is $757 per credit hour. The total tuition for the program is estimated to be $45,420. 

- Bank Statement - For students pursuing graduate studies at The University of Scranton, your

 assured support for the first twelve (12) months of study should be at least US$52,075.00.

Application Coding: In the online application, students must indicate they are working with Indo Global Studies. We cannot offer commission for your applicants unless the coding procedures are completed correctly. When submitting the application in the University of Scranton portal, please answer 'Yes' to the question ‘Are you currently working with an international partner agency?' Then type Indo Global Studies as the agency name. 

Document Submission: All documents can be uploaded to the university application portal. Documents can be uploaded both before the application is submitted and after application submission by logging back into the university application portal. The financial documents are required to issue an admission decision.
