Founded in 1891, Seattle University is a Jesuit Catholic university located on a beautiful campus of more than 50 acres in the dynamic heart of Seattle. Our diverse and driven population is made up of more than 7,200 students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs within eight schools and colleges.
The International Student Center (ISC) is committed to supporting the academic and Jesuit mission of Seattle University and the strategic priority of Global Engagement by working closely with campus partners in supporting over 865 international students from 64 countries around the world.
The ISC is made up of both professional staff and student staff members. Our Director manages all larger projects in our office, advises specific student groups, and is the PDSO for the Assistant Directors. The three Assistant Directors work as immigration advisors and support students for OPT, CPT, Social Security Numbers, and more. The student staff members include front desk assistants who assist with administrative work and support student inquiries at the front desk. In addition, our student programming assistants facilitate regular programs and events for international students.
Finally, the ISC also has the ISC Lounge in which all SU students have a place to relax, meet new people from all over the world, work on group projects, enjoy foreign shows, movies, or sports on a large flat-screen TV, and for special events.
